I'm Ada Hu.
​It's nice to meet you.

Hi! I'm Ada, currently based in Philadelphia after completing my studies at the University of Pennsylvania. As a designer, I’m driven by empathy and a desire to solve problems through design. I focus on creating experiences that are both functional and visually compelling, always keeping the user at the center of my work.

With 8 years of design experience and 3 years of work experience as a designer, I’ve built solid skills in Product design, Product development, Graphic Design and Visual marketing design.

Beyond my professional achievements, I am a Digital media artist🧑‍🎨 and Architect🖌️. I recently won the American Society of Landscape Architects Award🏆, and my exhibition🏛️ will be held at Penn Museum in November this year.

I'm Barbie!

My partner is always amazed by my wide range of interests and roles. He often says, "Ada, you're such a Barbie! You can do anything you want!" This perfectly captures my approach to personality and professional attitude.

From Landscape Architecture to Product Design

3-year academic journey honed my creativity, but the delayed user feedback in the architecture industry left me feeling frustrated. The desire to solve problems through design and make a positive impact led me to pursue a career as a product designer, where I can see the results of my work more directly and immediately.

Diverse Cultural Backgrounds

I was born in China, moved to California during middle school, then returned to China, and relocated to Philadelphia four years ago. Immigration is a big part of my story. Along the way, I've visited many places and met people from various walks of life. I always remain open to the future, ready to embrace challenges and change.

Best Collaboration Award

If I were to receive an award, it would be for Best Collaboration. In a team, it's important not to always seek the spotlight. While I know I have talent, I've learned the value of listening to everyone’s input. Collaboration and considering diverse perspectives often lead to the best outcomes.
